‘Building Schools, Building Dreams’ – Uganda, Africa

5 months of fund-raising, 500 donors, 50 volunteers, and 5 weeks to construct. A short film about a summer in Kisoro, Uganda and what dreams are built of.

The school is in Kisoro, south-west Uganda and is called Gitenderi Primary school. It is nestled at the foot of a 4127m high volcano called Mt Muhabura on the border of Rwanda and Congo. It has 1100 pupils, eighteen teachers and now has thirteen classrooms!! That means it has 85 pupils in one class instead of 92.

The school thanks everyone for their support and donations. Both the teachers and pupils are very happy with their new classroom nicknamed ‘The Rainbow Room’.

It was a magical moment to see the classroom. I hope you visit the school one day and see it for yourself…
